I have searched and found 1, non-helpful thread maybe someone out there has dealt with this.
Has anyone messed with the anti-slosh module for the fuel gauge? I have two Exs with gauge problems.
Both have had new fuel pump/sending unit assemblies replaced, one for a bad pump other for a broken rusty outlet pipe. Both had gauge isses before this and I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem.
Both vehicles will show an overfull tank at startup then the needle slowly goes to empty and stays there for the duration of the trip, no matter the actual fuel level.
I checked resistence in the sending unit before installing the new pumps, both were good and both pumps were good quality Bosch units. Any ideas would be greatly appriciated.
