Does anyone know where I can get the exact specs. Purchased the vehicle and I get no bass, but have the stock everything including the subwoofer in the back. Looking for exact specs so I can either swap it out or temporarily fix what I have. I have exhausted my google search.
:burnout:

how are the settings set on your EQ?

also the stock system sucks and the regular speakers only pus 12 watts rms through 4x6" plate speakers

Has the stock HU and I went ahead and pushed the bass up to the max and nothing pure mids only, some highs.

I have a 93 too and that is my problem. I've been trying different things with it and I can only deterime it has something to do with the amp. But I don't even know how to get into it to look at it.

What is weird, every once in a while there will be this bass boom for one second, like the sub is trying to work. But its only once in a while, not very often. I'm beginning to wonder if something happened with the wiring, or the amp is just messed up. There was nothing wrong with it before it worked great, even when I put my deck in. Just all of a sudden one day it didn't work. I'm just going to have to take it somewhere probablly I have no idea what to look for.

This happened to me in my 93 limited. It was the JBL package with the single sub in the back. The bass was gone, once in a while it would hit for a few moments, then nothing. Its definitely the subwoofer located in the rear. Nothing was wrong with my amp. I replaced the woofer and had no more problems. In fact, when I fist tried troubleshooting the problem, I found that it was actually the wire at the speaker connecting to the cone, just past the connector. Looked to me as if the heat mixed with heavy bass weared out the wire. All you have to do to confirm that this is the problem is this:

1. Remove the panel from your sub on the panel.
2. Pull the subwoofer out.. about 6 or 8 screws hold it in. (Note: You will need to reseal the box)
3. With the stereo on, and the speaker wires/terminal free from being shorted on anything, gently wiggle the wire connecting the terminal to the bass cone.
4. Does it pop on and off?
5. Go out and get another woofer.

:D
