I have a 93 XLT with a Premium Sound System (not JBL), and the amp is in the rear driver side of the vehicle. It has 3 connectors that go onto it:
top of amp - 8 pin (7 used)
Yellow, Brown, White/purple, Green/light green, Orange, Black/orange, and Black
bottom of amp (right) - 8 pin
Red/white, Green, Blue, Yellow/Purple, White, Brown/white, Orange/white, and Yellow/white
bottom of amp (left) - 5 pin
White/blue, Dark Blue, Orange/blue, Brown/white, Gray
I have searched everywhere on this forum and all over the internet the past few days and have found nothing similar, so I am rather confused as to what wires to connect to bypass the stupid amp.
I already wired my aftermarket HU in the front; when I split open the gray cable, the 8 wires were the same color as I've read, so I guess that's good. Also, the wires coming directly out of each speaker in the doors are the same color as I've read here, but these do not correspond to the wire colors coming out of the amp, so I'm extremely confused.
Any help would be awesome. Thanks.
