Ok my auto transmission takes way to long to shift 1-2 and 2-3 It will rev high to about 3500 rpms even when slightly touching the gas. It doesnt matter how slow I try to accelerate this problem still occurs. Im just dreading paying for a new tranny or getting it rebuilt. Im new to this forum and to my 1st Generation XLT i just paid $1,600 for it and it only has 118000 miles on it. The guy I bought it from said that he had someone look at the tranny and said it "could be" that the sensors are messed up.
Also I hear a slight Cracking sound/semi-loud clicking when I press down on the front driverside part of the hood. I thought it might be the axel or suspension I am really clueless.
I like this truck and have plans on making it into a more street type vehicle considering I live in an urban part of the country.
Any help would be great
