 I see all kinds of descriptions for the 91-94 speedometers on ebay. either 94's had both 5 & 6 dials plus the 1/10th dial or they are not describing them correctly.
Maybe mine was replaced already. I know it was messed with because it read 089,437 when i bought it. when it turned 100,000 the 0 almost jumped to 2.
so now i go to sams club with a flat repair on a tire i bought with 097,000 miles and the guy reads the speedo as 207,000. they gave me a little hassle about it but logic prevailed this time.
i have auto trans w/overdrive if that matters. i just want to hunt down a speedo near my 110,000 miles and replace the cluster.

I love my Fords, 1989 27' motorhome w/460
1994 Explorer XLT 4X4
1998 Windstar 3.6L Just replaced intake manifold gaskets at 88,000 mi and taking a 1,200 mi round trip NY / NC tomorrow.

All 94's have 6 digit's. Just the 94's do. 91-93 have 5.

Thank you

Thanks Jason, I just want to keep it stock. Dont worry i would not part with this vehicle for anything. I was going to have it reset at a dealer but was told to get one with the dials in a straight row because when this was tampered with the dials were damaged.

Thanks again

I beg to differ. I have a 94 XLT, only 5 digits in my cluster... everyone's impressed cause i only have 12,550 miles on it. :)

will a 94 cluster with 6 digits, fit a 92?

Really? Was this X yours the whole time?

No, but i do know the original and second owner. Good friends of the family. No interior work was ever done to it. Was a daily driver for a CEO of an accountant firm. Then his kid got it for a wedding present, now he's got a 69 stang, wife made him get rid of one of the 4 vehicles.... So, it's original from the factory. Might've been a leftover from 93? Dunno.

My 94 XLT only has 5 digits(plus 1/10ths) and is about to roll over for the 1st time...I'm orignal owner

I stand corrected then. I never saw a 94 with 5 digits before. I looked at about 20 -30 of them over the years. All 94's I saw had 6.

FYI: I am original owner of 94 4x4 XLT (delivered May 1994). I have six digits.

Interesting..mine was an April 94 release

Thanks for replys

 Just returned from NC.
So I will stick with the 6 digit.

But let me tell you nothing tracks down the road like a ford. the most relaxing no wandering vehicles at 75 mph. I have driven all 3 of mine at least 5 round trips each NY to FL and way beyond. I have over 1 million road miles behind me in cars and vans.

There is no community of people like Ford owners. It does not get any better than the 4X4 and Flat Rate Tech people.
