94 Audio Question

I sold my 91 and haven't posted for a few months, but now my dad has invested $3000 in a 94' Explorer XLT. The radio at full blast was still very low, so he put in an aftermarket pioneer, 50x4 watt system. Still there is very little sound. Any idea's on why? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

According to the guys at Bestbuy when they installed my deck a few years ago, my '94 had a stock amplifier. Granted, I wouldn't trust those guys any farther than I could throw them and would never have let them touch my girl if it wasn't free.

I believe that if it exists at all It is somewhere below the glove box in the corner above that kick panel. If that amp was kaput it would certainly explain why your dad's system is so quiet. I would also check all the wiring connections on the back of the deck as well as any connections on the speakers. Good luck.
