My 94 b4000 has an intermittent loss of power issue. It usually happens at highway speeds. It will refuse to maintain speed and also won't accelerate. After down shifting (it's a manual trans) and pedaling it a bit it usually comes back. Also I have had another intermittent problem when starting the truck. It usually fires up and then dies once. And the next attempt fires up no problem. But every once in a while it will take 15-20 attempts for it to start and then it stumbles at a very low rpm for a while until it levels out. I have replaced spark plugs (3 were very loose) wires are new. I also replaced the fuel filter.

Welcome to the forum!
Have you checked for any stored codes?

After checking for loose grounds and loose wires I unplugged the mass air flow sensor. Truck now runs like a champ! No stumbling. No hesitation on acceleration. Starts first time everytime.
