94 CD Player

I managed to find a factory CD player to replace my Premium Audio AM/FM tape player, but for some reason the CD unit, including clock has no indication. The only thing that works is the button illumination. When the original radio is re-inserted, it works fine.

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the wiring connections to the two units on the power plug?

it is probably a dead display on the unit itself. did you see it working before purchase? ford factory radios for years have had issues with display failure especially in the 90s
