'94 engine into '98????

I have a 1994 4.0 V6 with only 108K on it. Someone hit me last week and I have some decent body damage to fix....ORRR...I saw an ad for a 1998 with a blown engine for $1,000. The blown engine is 4.0 V-6 E code engine. Would my 94 engine work in the 98?

VIN E was for the SOHC, wasn't it? Your '94 has an OHV engine VIN X. I won't say that the SOHC to OHV swap is impossible (very little is impossible with enough time, money, and ingenuity). I wouldn't expect it to be "plug and play" swappable.
