I have a 94 2wd 4L Ex, yesterday it started making a weird squealing noise in the front end, unfortunatley it only happens when in motion around 30mph or up. It has a rattling sound to it when it happens. When it happens it starts all of the sudden & then stops once I stop & start moving again, have never heard a sound like it come from a vehicle, I do know my way around cars so not a complete moron, maybe just 1/2 moron LOL.

Ok, I narrowed it down to bad wheel bearings, tried to delete the post but wouldn't let me. Anyone know what all tools are needed to replace teh wheel bearings? Someone decided to help themselves to my SnapOn Racing tool box full of tools,$5,000 worth & I will have to buy the tools needed for this job.

Since it is 2wd, you won't require anything special. You may have to use a BFH:hammer: to pop the rotor off though and I used a punch to start the removal of the caliper slide pins.

Sucks about the tool box.

Is the wheel bearing job an easy one on the Ex? I tried looking for detailed instructions on it but found nothing, the AutoZone near me within walking distance has none for my vehicle & the bearings are shot bad, wheel can be moved tons.
Thanks

Bearings and rotors/pads are all quite easy on these. I can PM you detailed instructions later if you like. Right now I'm at work and the manual is at home.

Thanks but I made the mistake of going ahead & driving it around the corner to have someone do it, now it's turned into spindles & rotors too. I shoulda traded it for the 4x4 Ex last week like I was going to, oh well life goes on.
