I went to Checkers to have them hook up the computer to find the problem
and it said incificint flow to EGR valve. The guy said it could be a number of things. The truck runs good untill I get to the speed limit, then it starts to jolt
or studder.
WTF

Was this code they pulled a KOEO code, CM code, or a KOER code (did they even do the KOER test)? What code number did they report? If those terms don't mean anything, then review my "notes on pulling EEC-IV codes" in the EEC-IV forum. The first step in getting a proper diagnosis is to get as much information as possible from the computer.

Note that a KOEO code almost has to be electrical in nature. If this was a KOEO code, then go through the wiring to the PFE/DPFE carefully. If the wiring check out, then it is most likely a bad PFE/DPFE sensor.

Iwill check that out tomorrow and let ya know.
Thanks!

ok. it is a KOEO code and the code # is 332 EGR flow insufficient

KOEO almost have to be electrical in nature. As suggested, start by checking the wiring between the PFE/DPFE and the computer. If that checks out, replace the PFE/DPFE (they seem to be a common failure item).

Ill check that out. Thanks!

where is it????

Been very busy latly and Its been very cold in Montrose Colo. No garage.... Where would I find what Im lookin for?
Need to drive to Denver for the holidays.
Think I need to do this soon.
Thanks

The rectangular object right up front is the egr valve position sensor.
The circular object behind it and to the right is the egr valve itself.

This is taken from driver side. Right above valve covers.

ok?

so I guess the EGR valve position senser is the computer and the EGR valve is the pfe/dpfe?
If so, the wiring is good. Then its the egr valve??

Sorry. I dont know all my s**t...
I do thank everyone for help on this.

The rectangular object is the DPFE sensor, and mine went bad with similar symptoms. Just picked a new one up this morning for $60 and am going to install it in a little while.
I unplugged the electrical connector from mine, and my throttle problems and stalling went away, although the CEL is on constantly now. Give that a try and see if anything changes. you simply unplug the electrical connection to the sensor, and leave the vacuum lines in place.
The round object is simply the EGR valve itself that bolts to the intake. both are pretty easy to replace. The EGR has a tendency to rust/fuse to the EGR tube that comes up from the exhaust, and the tube twists and breaks easy after 13 years, so exercise some care if you choose to replace the EGR valve. Mine broke and it was a dealer only part that was $90.

I should note that my truck also had the 332 code, and it was a bad DPFE sensor.
Good luck.

One thing to check also is the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF). This is a 2 filiment thing in line with your air filter that tells the engine how much air is coming in. From reading around here it is a common issue. You will need a torx 10 (if I recall) but it's a secure one. Little star bolt with a dimple in the middle. I picked up a set from Autozone for $10.
Here's a helpful link for this. Even if it does not solve the problem, it is a good thing to know / do

I used a healthy pair of needle nose and was able to remove both screws on the MAF
