94 Explorer Wrong Trans Fluid

I need some advice. I just replaced a defective vacuum modulater. After doing the replacement I needed to add a quart of fluid to the tranny. Unfortunately I grabbed the wrong trans fluid off the shelf. I added approx 1 quart of atf+3 for chrysler trans. What should I do? It was only a quart will it cause any damage?

If you assume that you have about 14.5 quarts of ATF in the system at full capacity, the one quart you added is only 6.9% of the total fluid. In my opinion, I wouldn't worry about it, since I doubt the formula for ATF+3 is that much different from Mercon. However, if you are due for a normal fluid change do it soon, and ease your conscience.
