94 Mazda B4000 4.0 Belt Tensioner????

Bought a new serpentine belt, idler pulley and tensioner from Rock Auto and all was good until I got to the tensioner. The OEM tensioner is bolted on with 2 bolts and the one that Rock sent me only has a place for 1 bolt and the pulley is a fair amount smaller. Anybody ever run into this problem? I tried to see if there was a way to fit it on and there's no way that I could figure out. An A/C line is in the way. Sent Rock an email to see what they had to say. Replaced the one on my wife's 03 Sportrac and no problems. This OEM one with the 2 bolts instead of 1 is what gets me. Anybody?

Can you post a pic of the two side by side? Why are you replacing it, is the original broken, or 'just because'?

Wish I could post a pic but my son has already taken off in it. I can see the 2 bolt type on a dealer's website where they sell parts on-line but all of the aftermarket ones show a pic of the typical 1 bolt type where there's like a peg on the back that slips into a slot and keeps it from spinning around.

Replacing it because its making noise like the bearing is going bad. When I took it off sure enough its noisy. May be locked into getting the part from the dealer. Was just wondering if anyone else had changed their tensioner on the 4.0 and was faced with the same dilemma. Thanks for the reply.

I changed mine but it only has 1 bolt. Pulley is a tad smaller though. Maybe 1/8" in dia

Maybe there's something different about a 94 model 4.0. The picture on dealer's websites clearly shows the 2 bolt model. Really weird.

Or maybe because it's the Mazda version? It should be the same as a ranger though

I'd think they would be the same. The part I saw that is like my 2 bolt type was off of a Ford dealer's website. Also think I saw FoMoCo on the old one.

Wouldn't hurt to do some searching on the rangerstation.
Either way don't wait to long to replace it. I did and the tensioner broke... Still drove for days lol
