94 navajo top starter bolt ABSURDLY tight, tips?

I am in the middle of replacing my starter and te top bolt holing it in is so @#%^ tight it is rediculous. Ive started to strip it and I am worried about if i keep trying. I can only get a wrench on it and the 13 is jsut so short. I tried with everybit of strnegth in my body (then my knuckles were demolished on the truck soon after) any tricks to getting it off? I jsut keep going out there and trying to turn it and it jsut keeps not turnin, any ideas would be great, thanks.

How do you know that it's getting stripped if it's not turning? Do you have a 1/2" drive breaker bar?

By stripped i mean the head of the bolt, from numerous times the wrench slipped off with tons of pressure on it. I have a breaker bar but even my 6 sided socket slips off due to the angle i have to apply pressure. It sucks that this one freaking bolt is stopping an otherwise simple thing. I guess i will just try slowly wit hthe breaker bar and see what happens. This happen to anyone else? Thanks
