- 94 ranger XLT
Good day all,
As the FNG, I'm sure that I'm probably posting this in the wrong place, please forgive me. I have a 94 ranger that will not start. My wife was sitting in the truck at work and it just quit! I have replaced the wires, rotor, cap. ignition module and coil pack, still nothing. A guy was looking at it yesterday and said that the green dusty residue under the old cap tells him that the CPS is bad. I thought that sensor was behind the crankshaft pulley. He pointed out a sensor that leads from the back of the distributor reasoning that the pulse wasn't making it to the module and that's why I have no spark or fuel and that I need to pull the distributor to get it out. I'm not so sure. An idea's out there? Thanks.....
