so i have been doing some reading about swapping a 94 engine into a 91 ex.
i know i need to changeout the egr on the 94 for the 91 manifold with out it.
so are there any other sensors or anything i need to know about.

oh and for the egr would it be better to just take the computer from the 94 and put it in the 91.

The EGR is the main difference, you shouldn't need to swap out much else on the engine, but you will need to put the flex plate for the 91 on the 94 motor if it's a manual trans.

I wouldn't put the 94 ECM on the 91. The ECM controls a lot of other things than just the engine, including the ABS. If you do, there could be a problem since the 91 ABS is rear-only, and the 94 ABS is 4-wheel. There could be a safety issue.

If you want, you could swap the brakes and knuckles from a 93/94 and then use the ECU and have 4-wheel ABS, but I think the wiring would be a lot of work.

Thanks for the reply. I think that was the longest I ever waited on one.

We just got the motor back in. Only had to swap wiring harness, intake, and exhaust manifolds. Still a lil worried about the cam position sensor tho. Just sitting back there not pluged in. But ill get everything else put back in and let yall know how it goes.
