So been a few months since i have been on the forum. just replaced my upper control arms, tie rod ends, and my lower ball joints. my next quest is to figure out my vibration while driving. while driving at a steady speed i get a funny vibration but while accelerating or coasting she rides smooth. does that mean that the xfer case is shot or can i just pull the yoke and replace a seal and a bushing. by the way the frame has 233,x.. miles on it and about 75xxx on a rebuilt engine and trans. not sure on the xfer case.

Vibration can be caused by alot of things. Bad tires, tires need rebalancing, u-joints, bad bearings. These can all be easily inspected with a floor jack. Place the floor jack under the front center of the truck and get the front wheels off the ground. Put some jack stands under the frame or rear lower control arm mounts. Now, sit on your butt and grab the the pass side tire at the 12 and 6 o clock positions.Try to wiggle it and see if theres any play. Do the same for the drivers side. You are checking the wheel bearings for play. Now grab each tire at the 3 and 9 oclock positions and do the wiggle test. Since you replaced the tie rods, there should be very minimal play. Now, check the u joints. Make sure the truck is in Park and crawl under the truck and grab the drivehaft with both hands. Push, pull and twist to see if there is any play in the u joints. If there is any, replace all the u joints in the driveshaft. You can also unbolt the driveshaft from the rearend and t-case check for excessive play in both the yokes. Good luck.
