I don't know what these fuses do and have not found where these fuses feed from, I hope that they solve the oil pressure gauge problem as well as the insturment panel light problem.

Will purchase better manual, Haynes does not cover my model 'A'. Any ideas in the meantime will be appreciated, I have a problem runnning without an oil pressure gauge but would like the original gauge.

..Did you see the fuse panel on the left end of your dashboard?

Owning the correct manuals means everything!

Finally received factory service manual and also Electrical &
Vacuum Troubleshooting manuals... Already had tried a quick download manual which claimed to handle 93-97 but was far from what was needed. Was able to diagnose a couple of ground issues; one on one of the through the firewall 40 pin connectors and another behind the radio, both in the connectors. Continued with pulling the insturment cluster and did some repairs there: new odometer gear, new bulbs and freed up a gauge which had the needle pushed on too tight. Replaced both oil and coolant temp sending units also. Electrical problems are history! I'm a happy camper. I also note that many of the fuses I was concerned about do nothing on my plain jane 2WD machine with no bells and whistles; and one of them was not supposed to get hot until the ignition was on. Manuals help.

..Thanks for the update..:biggthump

..Mine is a "no frills" Ranger too with manual tans and manual 4wd with plenty of fuses for not operating many things..:dunno:
