I recently bought a 1996 Ranger 2.3 auto. I am looking to get a little power, mainly takeoff power. A few years back I raced minimods dirttrack cars and we dyno'ed one of my engines at 220hp at 7500rpm. I know I cant do the mods like the racecar had for a street truck with efi. Is thare any chips, programmers or mods I can do to help? I am a 25yr exp ASE Mastertech, so don't be afraid to get technical.

I offer alot of mods for your ride. Tuning,headers,cat-back exhaust, cold air intake, underdrive pulleys, etc. Shoot me an email. hensonperformance@bham.rr.com

if your truck has tall gears you might think about 3.73's or4.10's.thats probably the cheapest way to get more pull off the line.your tranny would last a little longer with the extra gearing too.
