Has anyone actually noticed any improvements with a cold air custom intake? i have a K&N and want to make a custom intake for my 96. anyone have any pics? How well does the cold air thing work? is it worth it rather than buying a kkm? thanx

yes, cold air is always better.... but the kkm sucks in more hot air which really isnt that bad.....

a more restictive K&n sucking in freezing air shoud [theoretically] be equal to a freer flowing kkm sucking in hot air....

now, if you can do a non restrictive kkm and feed it cold air...you will have a lot more power and kick butt.....[again, in theory]

ahh damnit. i just called and he said it wasnt going to be available till the end of this year. i got my hopes up.
=(
oh well.

how about some pics guys

Ok here are some pics. The first pic is of the tube in my bumper collecting the air. The second and third show it heading up towards my K&N. The picture on the top did not turn out too well, all it is is the K&N in a metal tube connected up to the stock air location, and a hole for this tube in my bumper that meets right next to the k&N

Mike, that is not a cold air induction kit. That's basically what the KKM is for $200 less. This is a cold air ram kit - http://www.ramairss.com/ramit.html

Jason, very interesting indeed.....
