96 4dr 4wd dash light problem.

Hello all, I just recently aquired my 96 and have noticed when i turn on 4wd auto that while im driving the indicator lights for 4wd auto and low will begin to flash and then go out. Does this mean that it is no longer engaged or is this some sort of warning indicator? I do not have the manual and have not been able to figure it out, any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

wow you are pretty quick on the "bump"... wonder if you are just as fast on a "search"... lots of posts on flashing 4wd lights. Its likely a problem, could be major or minor depending on codes.

Step 1 is getting the codes read - after that you can get some more helpful advice. It could be anything at this point, particularly if there's nothing else noticeably wrong.
