As in the title...I turned the wheel to the right...Heard a snap/crunch...

Turns out there is an after market remote starter under the dash...One wire got wrapped around the steering column u-joint and pulled every thing with it.

I reconnected the wires I found that snapped, though would rather pull the remote start unit out.

Truck died when it happened...Lost the use of the power windows...Power seats still work...Checked fuses...All seem good...Starter turns over when shorted out at the starter relay...

Thoughts?

The aftermarket alarm probably has a starter kill relay that needs to be removed/bypassed.
Look around under there to see if you can find which wires are cut at the ignition harness and connected to this relays.

Traced all wires from unit...Even got the manual (Autostart as-1200)...Unit does have a starter kill wire but can't find any loose wire, nor unused plugs under the dash...

Shouldn't I be able to put the key into the running position and short out at the driver's fender relay/solenoid to get the truck running?

Also doesn't explain the loosing power windows...

Found a broken wire under the black tape used when the autostart was installed (bad job combining wires)...Truck turns over...Dead battery issue now... :)

Now to figure out the window issue...

Found another broken wire...Issue resolved...

Thiose alarms can be a pain in the butt...ugh i hate them with a passion
