Need to confirm if item # F67Z14B205BA is the same as F67B14B205BA and if I just replace it or has to program it and how to ?

Did you ever have this confirmed. I have the same issue. I have the one you have listed but found the other one available. Let me know if you can if you were able to use that one indeed. Thanks

I just checked the Ford interchange manual and that appears to be the same part. The 2 part #'s source back to each other when I search the interchange.

Are GEM's plug 'n play...or, do they have to be programmed upon installation?

As long as you match part #'s and years there should be no programming involved. I've swapped my GEM at least 3 times for various reasons and never had any issues or needed any programming.

Older GEM's are plug and play. If the number are not identical, some related car functions might not work.
Newer GEM's (don't know the year now, but newer than 2001) have the PATS integrated in them, so you need re-programming or the car won't start.
