Hello All, Long time reader, First time poster. :)

I've learned a lot from this site and have a bit of things I want to do because of it.
I live in Texas and because of the winter season (and I know this is nothing compared to you northern folks), my windows frost up bad at night. I'm a Volunteer Fireman and this is bad, as I can't wait 10 minutes to defrost my windows.

So I've bought a Viper 160XV online and am trying to install it, without any prior knowledge of course. :)

I'm using this diagram for the descriptions: http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/alarmdetail/859.html
And this for the Wiring Diagrams: http://download891.mediafire.com/l5w0549jkr1g/cz5t1x9tjls/Ford_Explorer_1996_Electric.zip

My only goal at this point is to get the remote start functioning. I can worry about doors unlocking (I live in a very, VERY good community, less than 10 crimes a year), rear defroster(which I plan on hooking up to a master switch for lights and siren instead in the future) and whatnot.

I've got the general basics down of the Digital Multimeter (I think), but for the life of me, I can not even find the Starter Wire. I'm not sure weather to be looking on the left or right hand side of the steering column.

So far I've removed the top and bottom portions of the front console, including the lower heat shield.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, and/or tips would be greatly appreciated. I spent a good deal searching the forums already and I can't seem to find what I need. Thanks!

Also, this year does not require a bypass module, Just a heads up in case anyone was wondering. :)

This thread can be closed, I resolved the issue.
