We had a rain storm and the windows were down in the explorer. Since then it runs like it is out of gas and the windows can go up and down without the key in. Something is pulling current when you hook up the battery.

Any ideas? I really need my truck running :(

How wet did it get?

Likely culprits would seem to require drying out the switches in the door panel (power windows and door locks).

But, I might vote for looking into the power adjust driver's seat (assuming you have this option) as it is one of the few features which normally has power even when the ignition is off. Maybe try disconnecting the wire harness which (I think) can be found by reaching under the seat from the rear.

still can not get it to run...changed the coil and cleaned the fuse box under the hood? Any ideas at this point would be great....

Please respond!

What do those have to do with leaving the windows open in a rainstorm?

Did you check the power seat as I suggested? Did you check all of the power window / door lock switches? Do you have the electronic touchpad on the outside of the driver's door? If so, have you checked it for water intrusion?

Time to get the hair dryer and WD40 out.

Try removing the seats and door cards to get to the electricals.
