I have replaced the turn/wiper switch with no luck. I can hear 1 of the relays clicking in the fuse box under the engine when I put the switch into intermittent settings or low settings but the wipers wont come on. Also when I turn the wipers off from high speed they stop anywhere on the windshield and wont park themselves in their correct position. Any ideas? Thanks! :)

did you ever figure out what was wrong with it? The reason I ask is because mine is doing the same thing. But now mine wont even work.

wiper motor? did u check those relays? do u hear any noise when u turn the wipers on?

I bought a new wiper motor but I have no idea where it is located at in the truck:) and I want to replace the motor but am not sure where to begin have any ideas? Do i have to go after it under the dash or under the hood? Can someone help me please thank you. Darcie

its under the hood, mounted on the firwall right behind you brakes master cylinder. i have a pic for ya if i could find out how to put it up on site.

sorry bout the quality its straight from the haynes manual... hope it helps though :)

if u want a better pic i can get ya one probably. u will most likely (99.9% sure) have to take the wiper linkage off first tho, since they are on the wiper motor shaft. take your cowl off. to do this u remove the drivers side wiper arm, then take the one screw holding the cowl on out. in the slot at end of the cowl almost in middle of the hood. then pry it off carefully. then inside you will see the linkage on the end of the shaft there is a clippy thing kinda like a snap ring cotter key lol. anyway it pulls off - i used a screw driver to help pry it. then slide each arm off. good luck

Thank you guys this help really it does. I am going to work on the truck in the morning because it is now really dark out side so I will let you all know how it goes. Pictures are always great. I am not really a mechanic so trying to figure out where everything is is kind of a joke in my book:D But really thank you all for your help:) Darcie

I had a similar problem on my '94, replaced the wiper motor and did not cure the problem. So I located the wiper relay box up under the dash to the right of the column and removed it for inspection. First suspect on any printed circuit board is a cold solder joint..and inspection with a magnifying glass revealed it. One of the leads for a relay looked like it was soldered but closer inspection showed a fine black ring around the wire in the solder glob. I scraped the black ring clean with the tip of an Xacto blade and used a small soldering iron to re-solder it. I reinstalled the box and it worked perfectly! The box was marked Wiper & the cover has a latch so you can open it for access to the circuit board
