Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum, but from looking around, I can tell I already love this forum...tons and tons of great info, looking forward to posting more!
Anyways, here is my question, hopefully someone can shed some light on it, or provide some helpful tips.
According to my mechanic, whom I trust (he's a family friend) my heater box is broken and needs to be replaced for my heat to make it to the vents. Ford has confirmed that this is a known issue with the Explorers. He said it would be around $600 dollars to replace, mostly because of labor. About 5 and half hours or so. Anyone know any work arounds, or easier/faster ways that it can be done? Or has anyone replaced one themselves, and if so, what was your experience with it? Hard, easy...?? Any help from ya'll out there would be fantastic, thanks in advance!
