Hi there I am new to this forum and a new used explorer owner.

Ok I have tried to research the threads on here for a few weeks and gratefully found some answers to my explorers problems. Brief explanation of the issues I am having, My passenger door will not lock/unlock or even roll the window up/down, the drivers door I can roll down all windows up/down but as for locking on my master switch it doesnt work, but I can unlock. As for my rear lock switch by the liftgate it will unlock but not lock.

In the last 4 days my oem keyless entry locking function quit, but will unlock and still sound the horn when lock is pressed twice. After the research I have done on here It seems like I will need to do some door jam wire fixing maybe? I am just curious if anyone else has any expertise they could throw my way!

Thanks again for your time and sorry if I didnt post in the right area

Actually, sounds to me like there's more than 1 wire that's bad in your truck.
The one for the keyfob is a solder connecting by the rear drivers door, under the trim.
If you search, you can find the issue fairly quickly.

Awesome thanks DjDom I did see that one in a video, I will tear apart the back seat area this weekend and see if the solder joint is corroded. :D

No problem.
You'll figure it out.

Well I figured it out alright sure enough pulled the trim out of the way dug around in all the wires and found two wire joints that were corroded one of them being for the locking and once I soldered it back together and put heat shrink back over it, it fixed it now I can lock the doors with all the inside switches and the keyless remote. Now all I need to figure out is the passenger side window switch not working issue.:salute:

So thanks again DjDom for the info it helped me out quite a bit with search time!!
