Hi Guys,

Having trouble with the explorer starting, sometime it will start in Neutral but not park. sometimes it wont start at all until trying it a couple 3-4 times.

After reading a couple of threads witch talk about bypassing the neutral safty switch witch have 11 pin plug or 12 pin plugs ( mine has 8 pins ) I am wondering.

Could it be something else other than the switch ? I was under there today and the plug and pins look good, no frayed wires. seems to be adjusted in the right position. the wires on the starter also look good , clean and tight.

If I were to bypass it, where would be the best place to splice into the wire harness and what wires do I splice ? It doesn't seem to be a lot of room under there to solder wires together.

Many Thanks,
