My '96 Ford Ranger had stalled on my son, changed the fuel filter in my troubleshooting and it turned out to be the inertia switch. Drove it fine for a few weeks then headed to NM to visit my dad.
It stalled as I was driving into town (after 8 hours drive), it felt like something happened when I drove over some railroad tracks. It turns over fine, but won't start. I noticed some leakage from the fuel filter, so I went to the Ford shop and got their connector and so there is no leak now. I have fuel flow through the filter but I guess I need to check at the injectors. Inertia switch was not tripped. I tripped it once and then reset it just to make sure.
Not sure what else to do, it is parked in town, but no one is around since it is Thanksgiving. It feels like some kind of fuel flow issue, but don't know what else to check, any help would be greatly appreciated. I guess a mechanic will be open on Monday, but if there is anything to try, I have a voltmeter, I know enough to be dangerous, and don't mind figuring things out! Thanks
