O.K. guys...I need some help here. I am planning to completely restore Nelly Belle in the coming two years or so. '96 XLT. Will get the body panels I need this year and have already rebuild the front suspension. Next is the rear suspension (maybe including new leaf springs) but the shackles have collapsed and that needs done first. I will post a thread with pictures because I gotta do THAT right away and there isn't a post yet for doing it.
Here's my other immediate issue. When the engine is at full temp, after about ten or fifteen it suffers what I would call old time "vapor lock" and will not start until it cools down. The fuel pump doesn't rev up like it should and I know it is a sensor issue. I want to replace all the throttle body sensors but where can I find a dam* good diagram of those sensors so I can get them and do a full replacement. Since I plan to do a full engine rebuild (not too difficult really and I already have lifters and a full gasket kit) I will do the best to maintain anything I do up until then. I have already done the cooling system and replaced almost everything touching the serp belt. Directions please! :salute:
I really do miss my first gen 5 speed manual. She was a doll.
