I'm getting a ticking and squealing sound coming from the engine but I see my fan is shaking a lot
It's got 245xxx miles on it

Is it leaking coolant? My Ex is a 5.0 so I'm not completely familiar with the 4.0 but if the fan is shaking and it is attached to the water pump as mine is I would bet the water pump is failing

The waterpump just recently got replaced and no it not leaking any fluids and yes the fan is attached to the water pump

Check the bolts on the fan to see if they may have come loose, also check the pulley, is it shaking too when the engine is running.

Does it only shake once the motor gets hot? We carry a decent amount of parts here, if you find that there's an issue with the fan, we carry those too. Here's a link to our Explorer parts section for your 96.

Here's an old school method to check for bearing failure, given that all the fan mounting bolts are tight, take a long screwdriver or metal rod and one by one hold it to the peripherals on the engine while cupping your hand around it and holding it to your ear (idlers, alternator, water pump, etc...) and listen to the bearing noise. If the water pump is indeed failing you should notice a significantly louder noise when checking the water pump. Also is the serpentine belt in good shape?
