97 4.0 intermitant engine stalls

I have a 97 Explorer 4.0 that I run regular chevron gas for many years and have been experiancing the engine stalling intermitantly when I back up in reverse and have the wheel turned with the AC on. I noticed that the idle drops off fast and I think this is why it maybe stalling.This has also happened occationally when I start to take off in drive.......... I put in park and engine starts, no problem.... no engine light stays or comes on.
Last October, had fuel filter, plugs and new pump replaced, as the pump went out. It was acting up then before the pump went. I have 148K miles on the Explorer and runs like a jewel..... engine is real tight.
Any help in what that could be........ MAFor IAC need cleaning, ?

Problem solved

Turns out to be the IAC, as I replaced it with a known good spare I had. Also disconnected the battery to clear the computer. Seems to be working fine now as I haven't experiance the problem with it stalling.
