10 years, and 165,000 miles later. my Mountainner is getting closer to the grave. Thing is, im not sure how to dispose of it. The trucks has been highly modified, Borla Exhaust, Motorsport Headers, lowered, etc. etc. etc. But with electrical problems, broken windows, dead seats, and just ten years of wear and tear, its time to let go.

Dealers dn't want it on a trade in as it would likely cost them more to wholesale it than what they can get. It was in an accident in 2000 although it was fully retored. Is it worth parting it out, selling it to a salvage yard or giving it to charity. One problem i know i am going to encounter is the fact that i need to remove all customized electronics, such as custom mounted amps, custom speaker panels, etc. I do not want to restore these items.

Does anyone know of a good salvage yard or somewhere to part if out in the NYC/Long Island Area. The 5.) still runs strong, and the Borla cat back's are bullet proof. Any suggestions?

if you do part it out i'll buy ur borla's from you... it would appear ur only shot is slappa coat of wax on it n see if some h/s kid would buy it cheap as a project fixer upper... we did that as our senior project witha lil ranger... just my .02

Funny thing is the Body is mint. From the outside, the car looks as good as new. Im going to explore my options and when i start doing the electronics teardown, ill see about parting it out (Borlas, Headers, etc)

I'm pretty sure you could unload it to someone privately, someone could appreciate it as is.. it just depends how much they want to pay.

Finally removed amps and stereo. Im thinking of putting it up on Ebay if i dont find a local buyer. I have pics to email if interested. I want to sell the entire car rather than part it out. Im in Eastern Queens, NYc so its kind of hard to do tear down without garage.
