Hello,
I have some questions about the door ajar switch on my 97 Explorer XLT.
First and foremost, should the door ajar switch be grounded when the door is OPEN or when the door is CLOSED?
The rear passenger door is showing ground whenever the door is open or closed, so that switch is most likely bad or in desperate need of cleaning.
Also, would unplugging the connector from the door ajar switch cause the doors to rear as open all the time or read as closed? I am planning on unplugging switches and plugging them in one at a time to find all my bad switches... if that will work.
Please help, this thing is driving me nuts.. dome light is staying on and if I lock the doors the alarm will go off after about 10 minutes since the vehicle sees door(s) as open.
Thank You
