I think I have a problem with the "light out warning sensor". Has anyone been able to sucessfully repair this module or do I need to go ahead and fork out the $75 for the dealer part? It is supposed to be located under the center console.

Conditions:

LH headlight working both Hi/Lo
RH headlight Low beam out/ HI ok
Fog Lights out (on same circuit as RH Headlight)
All Fuses Cheked OK
Ground ok or would not have HI Beam
New Bulb - Checked ok
Wiring schematic shows connection of fog lamps to rh headlight

Thanks for your help!

I only have 96 wiring diagram, but it appears to show the same things as you suggest... ie. fogs driven by R Lo side. and connected up to the lamp out warning module..... but I don't think that the module is your problem. If the diagram is the same (96 and 97), then there is a connection between the fogs / r lo and the module. If power is going to fogs then check DB/LG at the Lo head light.... if there no power there, then you have a connection problem at the junction mentioned earlier and not the module. At least that's my take on things.

oops mis-read your initial statement that fogs were out also (took it the other way around).... sorry, yes as you indicate the module could be a problem but check for power out at the module. Check the splice (s112 in 96 although it might actually be s103).

Problem Solved!! How to Repair - FYI

I Finally found the problem. It was the lamp out warning module.
I was able to find a loose solder joint on the pin at the connection to the circuit board. Working now.

If you touched the plug the lights would come on or go off. I thought it was a bad connection or a bad plug. However, with further exploration I found the loose pin on the board.

Thanks for your help!
