97 Explorer radio buttons ?

I just bought a 97 explorer and the display works fine but none of the buttons light up ?

any ideas ?

Sounds like your radio bulb is blown. Also might be a blown fuse. Theres a bunch in the fuse panel and even under the hood. Check your owners manual for what fuse is what see if its one of them. I would also check the lighting fuse while at it. If it ain't a fuse you'll have to take your face of your radio and replace the bulb. Good luck(hopefully its a fuse).

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but the reason your buttons arn't lighting up is the dimmer switch.
