Good afternoon all,

My explorers power windows, locks, and seats took a crap on me about a month ago and I am finally getting a chance to deal with it. I know the fuse for these 3 items is a 30 amp and it is in the power distribution box under the hood. My question is, do I need to disconnect my battery before I pull the #10 fuse? or can I pull it out and replace it while the battery is still connected?

I can't think of any reason why you'd have to disconnect the battery to replace the fuse. None of those items are drawing power unless you use their switches to move things.

Downside of disconnecting the battery is the PCM will have to relearn settings before the engine runs properly again. Not long though, about 10-15 miles.
