My Explorer developed a shake that is most noticable around 35 mph when I am coasting (not braking or accelerating). Last summer I replaced everything on the front suspension (upper and lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends). I have put on about 9k miles since that and have greased everything twice. Now I am kicking myself for not changing out the inner tie rods. Anyone think that might be the problem (probably original to the truck with 145k miles)? Is there an easy way of checking if they are still solid? How about a missing wheel weight? I need new tires, but can not afford them right now because it was either buy books for this semester or tires. If I had the money I would just buy new tires and see if that solves the problem. Anyone know a cheap/used tire source around Chicago? Thanks in advance.
