Not without wiring harness modification. Hookups are different, and your 97 has a remote amp where the xl2f has an onboard amp.

can i by pass the amp and use scosche fd16rb harness

If you want to pop through the wiring diagrams at the12volt.com you might be able to figure some out, not sure in bypassing the amp or if it will just amp twice or how that would work. I know a few people have done the swap...

If this is a "got a dual media cheap/laying around" thing, I would really just get the stock replacement or the single CD unit that plugs in with your existing harnesses if you want to go stock (plus the green '98+ radio lights won't match your ice blue '97 lights) unless you have a massive box of cassettes that you really want to listen to.

I just pulled the rear panel out there is no amp and no sub the mach stereo i want install has a cd player i would like use

If there are no amps at all, you should have the right harnesses already...

Sure one of these isnt hiding back there on this kind of bracket?

Post a pic of your harnesses in-dash...

is that on the drivers side or passenger side i pulled the panel on the drivers side

never mind I see in one of your other threads that I should have pulled off the passenger side------- boy do feel stupid

No biggie... At least you know where your RKE code is now. :D

remote keyless entry (if you have that)- the factory set number for the door keypad is back there on a sticker...
