My 97 Explorer (168,000, orig owner) has never needed to have the thermostat replaced. I have no heat/cooling related issues. However, I noticed a small amount of coolant seeping out of the housing, nothing major. My question is....1) should I just let it be?
2)should I replace rubber gasket or both gasket and thermostat?

Thanks guys......Tom

I personally don't like it when things leak, no matter the amount.

If it were mine, I would replace the T stat and O ring. You definitely got your money's worth out of the old one.

Good luck...

Thanks Al for the prompt response
