Hey all:

This is my second post, so be gentle. ;) And I did search, and didn't come up with much.

I'm looking for a stainless steel brush guard for my 97 Eddie Bauer, but can only find one made by Manik. I've seen lots of powdercoat and chrome, but I perfer the looks and longevity of stainless. Is there a company that makes one, perferably with removeable headlight guards, other than Manik?

Thanks in advance,
John Fordham

I've got a Manik on my F-150... LOVE it!! Worth every penny!! Chrome or black will pit after a while....

I know Westin was doing both stainless and chrome-plated stainless for a while there, but I'm not sure if they still make 'em or not.

You mean something like this? Mine's a 99, but it'll fit a 97.

SS, with black rubber guards on the uprights (Removable) 2 pre drilled auxilury light mounts, and the Head lights guards ARE removable.

Anyway, here is the link to the site.

I had great results with that company, and the price is not that bad for a great guard. IT mount directly to the frame, and tho I would not recommend it, you could probably put a strap around the mounts and pull out from them. ITs a great peice of engineering! :D

Actually you could prolly get it on ebay, cheaper, still from the company, just under their ebay name. Thats what I did with mine.

Thats not right, its for a sport trac, (They don't have a listing for an explorer right now) but it says that it is no problem if they don't have your application about 1/3 down the page.... So e-mail them and tell them to set you up an auction. I think i remember mine being like 350 shipped or something.

Cool man, thanks for the info. If anyone has any others, keep them coming.
