I am one LAZY SOB! Can you guys tell me if this SUV uses shocks or struts?
I have 98,000 miles on it and if they are shocks then maybe it will be affordable to improve the ride. Anyone know the price to install the shocks or struts all around? DID YOU THINK IT WAS WORTH THE MONEY?
THANKS!!

The front suspension is a torsion bar and shocks. The rear is leaf spring an shocks.

Mine is still stock, so you'll have to get some other opinions RE: how replacing them helps.

From what I've read, shocks, and sway bars are the very best mods you can make to your suspension to improve ride quality and handling.

Shocks are generally pretty cheap to have installed. I've gotten quotes around here for Monroe Sensatracs installed for $40 apiece. Considering they cost $30 apiece to buy at a parts store, that's a pretty good deal.
