no flashing lights you drive shifts through 1 2 3 jumps into first and stays

did not disassemble valve body was going to try that next ordered new gaskets only own 1/2 in /lb torque
wrench does this cause a problem tighting down the body

pulling it out tonight after work and buying 1/4 in toque wrench will let you know what I find and appreciate all the tips

got it off gasket has a rip in the one side like it blew out, bolts on the steel separator plate were only hand tight took them off with my hand do you know inch pound for separator torque bolt and valve body

error code went away put fluid in it explorer is on ramps now i can't get it out of park goy any tips you been right all along

What is the error code number? You originally said that there was no error code or flashing light. Did you add fluid with the engine running? Fluid will leak out of the overfill port on the top rear of the transmission if it's added with the engine off. Only use Mercon V ATF or similar fluid.

sorry for my absent mindedness it was P0750-a , we mesured what I drained 1 gal and put new 1 gal mec v back with engine not running no sighs of fluid overer flow on the ground

P0750 is a shift solenoid A malfunction. Check the fluid level when it's cold then again after it warms up to the correct operating temperature range. You might have to add a little fluid so make sure that the engine is running when you add the fluid.

filled up fluid to hash marks while engine was hot' erased error code went down the street usally the error code would come back on pretty quick no code but it still shifts to second and ether slips out or like it jumps to over drive enginge revses up manualy put it back in 2nd to get it back in the driveway could vavle body be bad and needs evey thing replaced

replaced valve body shifts fine mine must a been shot don't have the expertise to rebuild it still a rookie
but the old P0750 came back to haunt me, fluids good didn't see any broke wires I'll just have to keep looking

Check the internal wiring harness with a continuity tester. Try to clear the code then see if it comes back. Sometimes these codes trip when the fluid is low or replaced (air in the hydraulic system).

cleared codes shifted nice for about 1/2 hour then got p0750 code finely took it to a local trans garage he put it on his tester said it needs replaced of course he gave me the print out of the other error codes
p0743 /p0750-/p0742/p0732 and p01157 O2 sensor and now the O/D light flashes do you know were i can find diag for tran connector 5r55e
