98 automatic trans

98 Explorer 2 door 6 4.0 I think, Automatic, Man all you guys are experts and I'm on the bottom rung on the Shade tree.
I took the tranny off without the converter now there's no daylight to reinstall the tranny should I take the converter off and place it on the transmission then install? If so how do I take the converter off.

Welcome to this forum! Remove 4 torque converter to flexplate nuts through the starter opening pocket area by turning the engine manually to reach each nut. Always install the torque converter with the transmission, and make sure that the torque converter is fully seated in the bellhousing.
