I am having a serious problem. I am trying to install an aftermarket stereo. These are the problems as they happened to me in order. Firstly i realized i had to bypass the stock amplifier. Then i got sound finally. But then while putting the stereo back into the universal harness i bumped a wire i heard a zap and i lost sound and illumination. I thought i broke the stereo so i took it back got a better one. I then hooked that one up,i checked all my wire connections,i checked all my fuses(even under the hood). All is okay, the stereo hooked up perfect and i still get nothing, not even power. So i disconnect the stereo and reconnect again and now i have blown 2 fuses(the fuse that plugs into the stereo,10a). I have now given up, my fiancée hates me now and i feel like a complete fool. Can you or anyone help me. This is my third stereo install and i have never experienced anything like this.

Welcome to the forum Matt. I am going to move your thread to our Audio forum where it should get more views.

have you checked the fuses in both fuse boxes? one on the side of the dash, and one under the hood?
Sounds like a blown fuse issue really, nothing more.
