Hey guys...
Got up this morning, went out to start the Ranger, and when I pushed down on the clutch, heard a little click noise.
Now, the truck won't shift into any gear while running. While not running, I can shift into any gear, so I put it in reverse, then started it up. The truck jerks back and forth a little, but will start.
However, when I try to backup out of the driveway, it will just barely move and won't get up the small incline.
So, what am I looking at for repairs, and is there anyway to drive her to my mechanic about 2 miles away to save tow charges? Thanks
Edit: Also, thought I should add...after I put it into gear while the engines off, and then start it, I can't get out of that gear while it's running. Thanks
Edit: Okay, got another little update. Earlier I said I couldn't get out the driveway, but looks like I wasn't giving it enough gas. So, it seems I can put it in gear, then start it, and then drive. So, even if I have to drive to my mechanic in first gear, at least I can save the tow charge.
