My dad was trying to help a friend last week... need some more info...
'98 Explorer, with the infamous squeak from the front end. Disconnected the sway bar, so it's not those. Tried greasing the lower control arm bushings, and it helped. Removed the bolts, re-greased them and it helped a little more. Torqued the bujeesus out of the bolts, and it went away for a couple days, but it came back.
Has anyone replaced those bushings? Where did you find them, how much work was it, what, exactly did you do to fix it?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx!
