Hi all...I'm new to the forum.
I own a 98 mountaineer which I love but for the last yr or 2 it either wont start or when it does start, runs like dog poop and dies....but only when it starts to get warmer out!
ALL winter it runs great!
Then when the spring /summer rolls around....BAM!
What it starts out doing is...the CEL will pulsate or theft light will flash rapidly and no matter what you do, it will not start!
Let it set for a while and it will start....sometimes run for a while...sometimes for a few days before doing it again.
I was stranded on the highway sunday in 80 degree NY weather!
I have had....all along...cold air intake and a super chip in it (bought that way and always run fine with it)
I've tried popping the fuel cap...to no use!
Sounds like something electrical...but only when its warmer outside!
Any suggestions???
