Ok, tomorrow i will be swapping a 98 4x4 sport rear end with 4.10 gears into my 98 XLT 4x4 with 3.73 gears. Will this have a negative affect on anything? speed sensor? ABS sensor? i hears somewhere that it will change the trans. shift points, will that hurt anything? Thanks

Just as long as you change the front gears as well it will be just fine.

x2

you have to change the front to the same gear ratio or it will cause all kinds of grief,,

and definitely do not use the 4wd till the gears match, or lots of broken parts will have to be replaced,,

Yeah, im swapping the front diff. in to, but the front should be a hell of a lot easier lol. thanks

Ok, i have another question, I'm looking at these body lift blocks http://zoneoffroad.com/product-acc?ki=91&gr= how wide do they need to be and how many will i need? also will i need anything else besides longer bolts? im gonna make my own bumper brackets.

anyway of making a steering extension? I have an auto transfercase. Do i need to lower the radiator?

If you have an auto 4x4 then do not drive it till you have matching gears front and rear.

To specify an auto 4x4 mode, if it just an electronic transfer case as long as it has a 2wd setting you'll be ok. Also with the body lift you'll at least need to drop the fan shroud or the rad and shroud as one.
